Family outings in Casablanca

Casablanca is lived outdoors: the Corniche and its beaches, the renovated Parc de la Ligue arabe right in the centre, the Aïn Sebaâ zoo, Sindibad for birthdays, and a cultural life in French around the Institut and the Villa des Arts. At weekends, Rabat and El Jadida are an hour away. Here are our addresses, checked on official websites.

Parks, the Corniche and fresh air

The city has more than 400 hectares of green space and two great lungs: the Parc de la Ligue arabe right in the centre, reopened after renovation, and the Bouskoura forest to the south. And always the ocean, along the Corniche redesigned with children in mind.

Through the seasons and festivities

Two calendars set the rhythm: Moroccan festivals, which follow the moon (Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha), and the French school year, with Christmas, Easter and the summer holidays. Summer is lived at the beach, winter surprises with its chill indoors.

Good to know

  • Ramadan moves forward about ten days each year: the city slows by day, schools and offices adjust their hours (the Institut library too), and evenings come alive after the breaking of the fast; Eid al-Fitr, which ends it, then Eid al-Adha two months later, are public holidays that empty the city. Source
  • Summer: the beaches of the Corniche and Dar Bouazza, beach clubs, Tamaris Aquaparc (open from 29 May 2026, daily 10:00 to 18:30), and Jazzablanca, Casablanca's summer festival, whose 20th edition is announced for 1 to 10 July 2027. Source
